This is a new web-based learning and practice development initiative that will be launched in 2008. The range of services offered will include a programme for the certification of practictioner proficiency. This is the website for the international Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). It is an excellent site, and constantly updated. A wide variety of information is posted on clinical, research and training issues. Visitors will find a comprehensive bibliography of published material relating to MI and associated subjects. The site also has an international list of trainers from many practice fields, all of whom have attended Training New Trainers workshops led by the originators of MI.
JAT advises anyone seeking a trainer to conduct a search to identify the most appropriate person for her or his particular requirements. Please note that no trainer on this list is accredited, licensed or approved; membership of the MINT does not indicate any particular standard of competence to conduct training. The MINT endeavours to support the development of high standards of MI training, but it does not regulate training conducted by its membership. You are therefore advised to seek testimonials when commissioning training.
